Introductory Letter

Dear Professor Michael Grove,

I am writing to introduce you to my goals for this semester and how taking this class may guide me into facilitating these goals. I am a Junior in college with a double major in biology and psychology. My goal is to graduate college with my bachelor’s degree and work my way to medical school. I plan on getting a graduate degree in the medical field and obtain a degree in MBBS. Throughout my childhood, one common question which I was asked was, “What do you wanna become when you’re older?” My answer to this question would vary depending on who inquired since I would utter a profession which others might feel more convenient with. Whether my response would be a teacher, a lawyer, a doctor, or an engineer, what I really wanted still remained a mystery. However, during my senior year of high school, I finally figured out where I see myself in the future. I would imagine myself as a dermatologist who can help others feel less insecure about themselves. One of my neighbors had a condition called vitiligo, which is basically when white patches appear due to uneven skin-tone. She would feel insecure to go out without makeup and wouldn’t feel confident about herself. I’ve encountered many people who have pimples or other skin conditions, but do not have a dermatologist who they can trust. One thing I’ve always grown into believing is that confidence is the key to success. There were times when I would feel insecure about my own skin, however I’ve learned to undergo comfort with my true self. I have the desire to study hard and become a dermatologist who can travel around the world and also help people in poor places with their skin conditions. I long to create an atmosphere where comfort is the daily ease in people’s lives. Skin care is one of the main important routines which should be a part of everyone’s daily life. In order for one to enjoy their profession, it’s significant to pursue a career in a field which they are the most passionate about. When dealing with skin, there are many layers of skin cells which the dermatologist needs to be aware of. While proceeding with this career, I will reveal myself to underlying cosmetics which we appear as.

In this class, I expect to gain knowledge in understanding the concepts of how to write a paper well. These skills can be utilized in my future since I can be informed on how to express my interest in the med field. Along with writing other papers, scientific literature is relevant in my future occupation. I would like to pursue a career in dermatology and be able to support my healthy skin ideas through the use of different techniques which I hope to comprehend in this class. Capturing an engaged audience is relevant in order for an idea to be escalated. I hope to master in how to engage a audience who will also be interested in understanding how to take care of their skin and acquire the best knowledge in how to keep their skin conditions under control. Along with learning the basics of a scientific paper, I am curious on how to remain focused on my point of view in different aspects of skin care and build an environment with commitment. Therefore, developing into a prominent dermatologist requires effort which I am willing to pursue in order to detect more smiling and confident faces.
